Why are we Running?
The Via Magna run is the official public launch project of Sebaste. A series of ultra-marathons and speaking events spanning the continent, designed to raise awareness and funds for the expansion of our mission, this journey is also intended to embody our ethos as a pilgrim adventure inspiring people to seek God's will in their lives through bold action.

Johnny Kuplack
One of 13 children from northern Idaho, Jonathan “Johnny” Kuplack is a 36-year-old endurance athlete who currently resides in New Mexico and has competed in running events worldwide.
His ultra-running career has included 10 races, from 50k to 100+ miles of which he has won 6 and placed second in 4, securing leads of multiple hours as well as a course record. Johnny has dedicated the past 18 years of his life to teaching and mentoring young men around the country and has led courses from the grade school to the university levels.
These mentorship efforts have recently taken shape in the co-founding of Sebaste, running formative programs and adventures for men across the country.
Currently, Johnny is running the Via Magna - 35 miles a day for 100 days, living out of a camper van on funds donated by like minded Christians. His pilgrimage will end at the shrine of the North American Martyrs on Divine Mercy Sunday.
