Are you willing to resist comfort to the point of shedding blood?
At 33, Jonathan Kuplack signed up for his first 50-mile ultra marathon in order to be tested in an unknown way, discover what he was capable of, and to inspire his students that they, too, could do hard things.
Though he spent two hours a day in the gym, he had become comfortable and a general experience of acedia had become his baseline. Running ultras broke him out of that zone and opened a new way of encountering God. Since then, he has completed nine more ultra marathons (50K–100 miles), winning six and placing second in the other four.
Through training, Jonny learned a life-altering truth: when you commit to a race, you change the way you live. Every choice, every sacrifice, and every struggle becomes part of the process of victory.
Now, Jonny is calling young men to the ultimate race—the race to become saints. When you choose this path, your daily crosses are no longer obstacles.. They become the way forward to eternal glory.
Jonny is currently embracing his own cross through The Mammoth, a 214-mile race through central California. He invites you to do the same by:
And if you want to go even further—help Sebaste inspire and form more young men by sponsoring a mile (individually or with a group of friends) in support of their intensives.
Choose the Cross.
Run the Race.
Become the Saint you were created to be.
Then go---and set the world on fire.
